Requested Documents Withheld

More than a few of us have been asking for the same documents and, to date, they have been withheld. The District evaluated the property now known as the New Administration site on two earlier occasions. Once in 1991 and again in 1998. Both of these evaluations generated a significant amount of documentation - along with the conclusion that the site was too contaminated to purchase.

I personally witnessed and perused the files that are now being withheld. I know exactly where these files were kept and I am certain they have been relocated to a secure location, under Marla's watchful eye. After all, these documents prove beyond any doubt that the contamination at the New Administration site is absolutely real - or in other words - that Marla has not been telling the truth.

Can you please define "withheld?" Have you received a notice from the district stating that they do not have them, cannot find them, or will not surrender them?

Nick, will you tell us the truth? Will you see to it that the documents Mark has asked for are produced? Do you fear the truth?

There's an often quoted verse in the Bible that says "the truth will set you free". You will never hear the first part of that verse quoted though, it says "IF YOU OBEY THE TRUTH, the truth will set you free." What'll it be Nick, remain a slave of the lies of others, or do what's right?

Truth: noun

1. sincerity in action, character and word

2. the state of being the case

3. the property of being in accord with reality or fact

Sincerity, character, reality and fact... Are these things to much to ask for by the people who pay your salary? Nick, I know you expect, even demand, these things from your employees (most of them anyway). Is it the old cliche "Do as I say, not as I do"? I hope not, I've always thought you were above that.

What reasons are they giving for witholding the documents?

Perhaps they were in the thousands of documents shredded by her administrative assistant this summer.

Thank you to the writer who stated from The Holy Bible, "the truth will set you free". I will wait to see if Nick does the right thing by providing the documents, if they still exist; this will help me know just what kind of person Nick really is "made of".

Disciplining then terminating employees that don't play along, ignoring requests for information, withholding documents, shredding papers at a fever pitch, having lawyers send harassing letters, covering up management's criminal behavior.....come on, be proud, this is your school district hard at work!

GREAT DESCRIPTION: "YOUR SCHOOL DISTRICT AT WORK". This got my attention as I am one of the employees they "Shuffled off to Buffalo". (This is what "they" actually call it when they get rid of someone!) Hopefully, all this will end when a new Board is elected, particularly Allan Weiss, who may be able to "see right through" the King and Queen!

I seriously second that emotion! A new board that asks LOTS of questions is preferred!

So I'm wondering where all the information has been stored that is being put together for the public request. Many employees received a letter to let them know that their name was mentioned on some of those materials. What really surprise me is that some of those materials the employee had no idea they existed. It made me wonder if items are being put in our HR personnel files by someone in HR and without the knowledge of the supervisors in that dept. One document was not date stamped or anything and yet it has showed up as part of the public disclose items. I imagine the writer thought she could just place the item in an employees file without permission not knowing that it would be discovered and question by the employee. I think the employee should sue the district for slander because that is what the untruth note did and is doing. I hope I hear from King 5 because they will get an ear full. I am sick of the districts/HR unprofessionalism and non confidential arena they live in. I quess any of us can write whatever we want and put it in another employees file in HR or the working file at the supervisors desk. It is totally unprofessional and this employee should be FIRED! Believe me she knows who she is!!!

There has been a request from the warehouse supervisor to put tracking devices on the warehouse drivers new Nextel phones. I thought there was a shortage of money. Is this where the Highroad leads this guy? Probably the same Highroad that takes him to the east parking lot behind Talbots and PetCo for one of those many unauthorized breaks of unethical behavior.

What is the reason for some employees getting public disclosure notices in the mail vs. just having them handed out? Just by virtue of the salary request, would it not make sense that every employee in the district receive a letter of notification? Might be good for all of us to do a once through in our personnel files.

request for public disclosure for warehouse. Scenario

documentation: You go to dinner with coworkers off district clock and another employee not at the dinner "imagines" what the conversation was among these employees and documents the imaginary conversation. That documentation shows up in the public disclose documents.

Another scenario- you go to another employees scrapebook party and another employee attending the party is half listen to a conversation - documents the half heard conversation and turns it in to someone in the district office. It shows up in the disclosure documents.

For the district to accept a documentation of a "imagined" conversation and half heard conversation and place that document in a file is scandalous and they should be ashamed of themselves.

All this documentation was done by an HR employee who is in the professional tech. group who should know better and shame on her.

Has anyone actually gone to HR and requested to view their personnel file? There are two files per employee; they show you what they want you to see~! Sad, but true. I was there!

You might be right. Birthday celebrations are still the rave with supervisors and a few terribly insecure employees who are too old to make the grade on their own. I still like quiet Birthdays myself, and don't feel it necessary to make a big deal about my big day to the resident supervisor. As well, could we get together on who does and doesn't receive a celebration? In general I would say that this practice is very disrespectful to many employees. Management is not capable of policing and monitoring this game. So it is up to those insecure employees to moderate, or Marcia Migdal will have to Earn a paycheck. Celebrate for all, or for none, but use your melon for crying out loud!

I too would like my birthday to be my day with no celebration. I have said such but it goes on deaf ears. I also don't want to be asked to sign a birhtday card I may not want to wish that employee a great birthday. I've been with the district a long time and I can say I have maybe 2-4 emplyees I might consider signing a card for yet I get cards handed to me as if it is my duty to sign a card. I think the employee should get to decide if they want their Bday even mentioned. If I want to give a card to someone for any event in their life that is my right and decision.

Keep up the great work Mark.

When I was employed by the
District, only a "chosen few" had the "honor" of being recognized on their Birthday; can you imagine how the "forgotten employees" felt?

Yes I am very familiar with this HR person referenced. Sadly this is now what I could classify as a trait of hers. She has done this routine many times to her own coworkers. One of the few members of the "conflict of interest" family. If I was to waddle on down to her area, and waddle around for a bit, I would probably be so angry with what I see going on, that I would waddle on over to the classified director and file a complaint. Then I would waddle back to my area, where I would begin counting the number of folks waddling, that are also getting sick and tired of the waddle.

I think a good tracking device should be installed on the warehouse supervisors mode of transportation and his communication device. It would be interesting where he goes and what he does. He sure spends a lot of time in the Food Service area at the ESC walking the hall. I really don't think his job is an 8 hour position nor is it a year round position. Lets save some tax payer monies and change his hours and number of days to match the work he really does not counting the hours spend on the computer doing WHAT!

You know something else about the blonde "conlict of interest" family member.....She was responsible for all those emails that were generated on district time, organizing the Hawaii honeymoon sendoff party for the newlywed lovefest at ESC. If you all remember your mails correctly, she even had the nerve to ask for donations for the corrupt families dinner on the big Island. HR seemed to be alright with that. How shameful. As if they needed to rape the district anymore than they already had. Asking for money? Unreal! To those of you in attendance.... If you donated to that cause, and you did if only showing up, could you dig into those deep pockets for some of the wonderful employees at ESC that currently could use some help for a legitimate cause? And maybe the "conflict of interest" family could stop using lingo like "peeps" and "411",you are so far from cool, and you sound like an uneducated monkey.

Well at least the lovefest finally got Hawaiieveryone was tried of watching the LOVE happening in the blonde office. from the stairwell you could see it ALL! The massages were at best too extreme for the work place. I wish them well but they should not be working in the same dept. Maybe I should imagine the conversation at their dinner table and document for future record.

The Blonde Liar was in trouble for this before. She had to meet with the "Terrace El. Enabler" when this first went down. What is it with her false stories that the district seems to embrace? She's even able to imagine them outside the work place and get coworkers in trouble. I found out the other day that my name was mentioned at this stamping party. Maybe why I got a public disclosure notice in the mail? I was not even there. By the way Mark, I believe this same stamping affair might be the reason your wife got notification of a records request. This person at the sub desk needs help like the rest of the "conflict of interest" family. What a pathetic life. The sad thing is that you don't even have to participate to get your name smeared all over the district. It's been rather nice on the first floor the last three days. What a shock, eh? Go sue Safeway or something!
