The financial situation with the District must be far worse than I originally suspected. They apparently can't afford to pay the administratively-approved fraction of my accrued vacation days and 25% of my sick days. My last day was June 11th and six weeks later they still haven't cut a check.
Give me a call and we can set up a payment plan or maybe I can just deduct the total from my property tax obligation - of course, I'll need a letter for the County Assessor.

Show a little class, and pay out what he is owed. Nevermind, the DC Madam is back. Good luck Mark. Hey, if you show up at HR sometime after 10:00, most should be there, and some haven't even gone to lunch yet. You might find some help, but I'm thinking not.
Unfortunately Mark is low priority for getting what is rightfully his. Am I a bit screwed up... Shouldn't Human Resources be for all humans involved in the district? If they have not paid Mark, I believe they are still obligated to serve him as best they can. Funny that HR has zero ability to govern one special employee of their own. Yes, you guessed right... The Conflict of Interest, Big Island, No Show. There is nothing left in the Kitty, so to speak, to pay Mark what is owed. She runs amok, and nobody holds her accountable. So if the administration continues to allow this kind of behavior, I guess I understand their reluctance to pay an honest person.

You are entitled to ALL of your vacation pay. In my experience, I didn't receive any of the accumulated sick pay, however. Do you think I should ask for it?
Demand what is yours. You know how much money (in interest) the district makes by only running payroll once a month (that goes for everyone)?
Oh wait! In the summer I think payroll runs every week or two weeks so they can pay student help! Like the other two anonymous' said, you'll have to catch someone in HR/payroll though, which might be tough.
P.S. Everyone say this together (until you believe it) "Human Resources is NOT my friend". They are there to protect the district from getting sued, and doing a great job.
If you read the budget PR (or is that BS?) for 07-08, HR will be receiving more money so they can pay more employees to "go away" rather than expose the district's unethical, and possibly illegal, treatment. Ever wonder how much money is spent to cover bad hiring decisions or possibly bad press? You'll never know, because it's buried in the Perkins Coie unavailable bills of mystery.......
So we get a new email another tech person hired with the tax payers money because a tech levy was passed. I don't think the tax payer realized how much of that money is going for tech help if you can call it help. They mostly mess up the computer worse then when you initial called them and they need to have another tech come in and help fix the screw up and we are paying for this. Don't ask me to pass another tech levy. I wonder if the director thinks about her job being contracted out. Tech work could be contracted out just as easy as print shop work.
Any clue as to why my last salary check would be short $150? I worked until the last day of the month, 11 months out of my 12 month contract. Yearly salary is computed for the year and divided into 12 equal payments, right? So why would an extra $150 be withheld in order to "settle up my contract" (vague reason given by payroll).
Either I was being overpaid the other 10 months or something is fishy...
