The Legend of Zandberg

Late at night, while the rest of Lynnwood sleeps, a masked man slips through the neighborhood under cover of darkness. He lurks in the shadows and slides undetected across rooftops, looking for any sign of misappropriated public funds. He slinks through vacant offices and rifles through file drawers in search of evidence. His endless search takes him to places that would be off limits to mortal men.

He has an established routine. He is a creature of habit and without exception, he leaves his tell-tale calling card after every mission. He always leaves the superintendent's office door open - just enough to make others aware of his vigilance.

Someone should tell the night custodian not to go on the roof after dark. If he falls, Sue Venable may not be around to raise an alarm.

The new night security specialist will come to his aid if he falls. A warm cup of espresso from inside should be of comfort to the both of them.

Nice picture. I notice the resemblence, even with the mask.

I don't think you could grow the mustache needed to match the photo.

I look that way every time I sip a protein shake or drink the milk leftover from my Coco Puffs.

Doesn't the sword kind of get in your way when you're sneaking around the roof at night? Or do you use it while you're rifling through the superintendent's desk?

I'm just kidding of course. Ms. Venable's allegation is ridiculous.

These people have completely lost their minds.

They seek him here, they imagine him there.

It is not very complimentary that Ms Venable is so gullible, but it must be apparent that during Superintendent meetings Marla is sure to paint a very damaging and threatening picture of "El Marko". I'm sure to the extent of slander to protect her own interests.

Perhaps Robin Hood is a better comparison and it doesn't take much imagination to spot the Sheriff of Nottingham.

Is the Mark of Zandberg also responsible for leaving the District money vault open over the last weekend? I thought there were only 4 keys and Marla was in on Saturday. Hmmm...

I have not been in the ESC since June 11, 2007, but will be dropping off a check in the coming days to cover my public records requests - much of which was too faint to read.

They did provide that set of documents, however.
