Okay, so he does read the blog

Mark,

I appreciate you sending the e-mail. I don't think that Marla or the "district" would agree with how you state some of these things, perhaps that is from your perspective. I wish you would have met with me and processed your issues before deciding to leave, as I would have helped work through them as necessary. You still have that option.

With respect to the letter to the editor you wrote and in light of the topic and your position with the district at that time, it was not a good decision and it was something that did cause issues for us with some in the public. Thus a letter of direction to you from Marla to not do that was appropriate. Also, if some type of review of your communications followed that would make sense if there were any question about your judgments made in terms of communication.

Thus, if you want to problem solve with Marla, I am happy to facilitate the discussion, but you seem to want to just toss rocks at her and us? I have always been about trying to do what is right and not try to be right; I don't know for sure what you are about with the things you are doing in these matters. Maybe you are trying to justify or defend something you did by writing that letter? I would think it wiser to accept that was not the best decision, accept the district's response and then move forward - if there were other job related issues that surface after the letter of direction, those could have been worked out. It seems given the fight or flight options when faced with a disagreement, you did both?

Sincerely,
Nick

Too little, too late and a transparent attempt to deflect any potential public judgment (Marla "is" the "district").

As in the response to your letter to the editor they are far better off and might be faintly credible by saying nothing. Flaccid would be appropriate and we still know which man is really running the "Show".

The one wearing the skirt!

Wow, He's got balls after all. Stand up and clean house & fix your problems then NICK. Please start in HR, That's where I would start the clean up.
#1. fix the sick & vacation leave problem.
thur #100. fix I need a couch or a coach problem. Those two are related.
PS. just a starting point. REMEMBER the 3 things you say.

Hmm, I managed to fight and flee. Further evidence of an efficient employee that can multi-task.

So it was appropriate to give you a letter of direction and not Matthew Benuska?

"Tossing rocks" - must mean throwing stones - but this is much more like dropping bombs. You are using weapons of mass realization which are loaded with the power of truth - and they can really hurt!

I only hope your previous Bush analogy doesn't follow in providing for a similar lengthy hopeless situation to drag on.

Remember there are Board Meetings coming up. Let's increase attendance and start asking some pointed questions!

Mark, it would be a waste of your valuable time to meet with Nick. If he was interested in taking on an active roll, he would " Weed Be Gone" HR. Time sheets Ladies and gentleman! Leave reports gang. HR 100s please. Famous quote from a 3yr middle management employee in the district, when he was fast tracking his HR100s. " I turned in my HR100s, you guys must have lost em'." Yeah thats it. Someone else is to blame. As well, his wife carries on the same tradition here in HR. Hey Mister, I know it was all just a big misunderstanding. Come talk to me about it some day. I'll show you how well the system works for everyone but you and your wife.
